Hiring Announcement: New Director of Sales

BASE Sports Group has added to its leadership team with the appointment of Will Wister as its new Director of Sales.

With more than a decade of experience in the sports industry, Wister brings BASE Sports Group an incredible track record and experience leading sales for a quickly scaling sports media organization. Wister most recently served as the Senior Manager of Media Sales at Cast Iron Media, delivering seven-figure partnership deals for national blue-chip brands across in-stadium and at-home media platforms.

Wister’s career began on the properties side of the sports industry, working for Talen Energy Stadium and Professional Bull Riders in sales and marketing. Seeing incredible results in sales, Wister pursued opportunities to serve the sports industry through agencies. His sophisticated approach to pipeline development, analysis of portfolio growth, and dedication to delivering results has afforded him a powerful network and trust throughout the industry.

I am excited to bring that experience to build on the foundation Carrie (Gamper) and Mark (Dvoroznak) have built here at BASE,” Wister said. “The youth sports community has incredible untapped potential. At BASE, Wister will be responsible for developing and growing the brand partnership portfolio. In doing so, Wister will also oversee the hiring and growth of the national BASE sales team. The BASE Sports Group sales team, under Wister, will offer unmatched strategic partnerships for brands seeking to engage families of youth athletes. With more than 350 events and facilities in more than 30 states, reaching nearly 12 million consumers, the BASE sales team will be able to offer brands demographically, geographically, and psychologically targeted activations. 

Wister is a native of Doylestown, PA, where he currently resides with his wife, Aly, son, William, and their two dogs. Wister is an alumnus of University of South Carolina, where he earned a degree in sport and entertainment management. Wister grew up playing soccer, basketball, and lacrosse but has retired to golf and surfing.
